The Future of the Past
November 16 –
January 19 2025
PROLONGATION UNTIL 19.01.2025
[Free entry]
A metaphorical flea market, the exhibition brings together works that travel back in time, linking past and present, mixing high and low culture. Domestic objects, they have the memorial power to transport us into our memories and to belong to a common fund of knowledge, a heritage of consumption. Mash-ups, totems of our heritage, trinkets of our modernity, the works are charged with affectivity and nostalgia for the latest fashions. Here, in the words of researcher Eloy Fernández Porta, popular culture and pop-culture have merged into after-pop.
